Providing mobile veterinary ultrasonography & echocardiography in the Glasgow area

Referral level abdominal ultrasound including (but not limited to) major abdominal organs, full GIT, adrenal glands, pancreas, biliary tract, lymph nodes and abdominal vasculature.
Interventional procedures can also be performed on request during the study. Reporting is completed in the same day. Case images available upon request.
I do bring my own equipment to the practice, all I need is a quiet room and an assistant.
Comprehensive, first opinion echocardiography, including assessment of cardiac chamber dimensions, function, and hemodynamic studies.
I do provide urgent and emergency scanning in the day. Please get in touch ahead of time if you want to set up this service with me.
Rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, hedgehogs, snakes and more! Other species I have scanned in the past include ocelots, otters, and frogs.
Teleradiology services including radiographs and ultrasound studies. Get in touch if you'd like to send a study for assessment.
Fine needle aspirates, trucut biopsies, prostatic lavage, and methylene – blue staining.
I have provided Diagnostic Imaging CPD to veterinary professionals and undergraduate students for many years. I am happy to provide on demand CPD delivered at your own practice, tailored to the needs of your staff.
This session is aimed to small group of vets (3 - 4) and takes place in practice. I can help you make the most of your machine, provide individualised advice based on the vets needs, and give tips on your scanning technique.
Wondering about how to make the most of your US machine? Are you using it to its full potential? What can/can't it do?
Let me know if you want me to visit you and discuss how to make sense of it!
Would you like to shadow me on my daily practice? Would you like to receive training and mentorship adjusted to your needs? Would you like to discuss how to take your scanning to the next level? Get in touch!
Not just vets do ultrasound - if you're an RVN and would like to improve, or start your ultrasound journey, please let me know!

MCRVS, CertAVP (VDI)
Originally from Spain, I have been a vet for more than 15 years, 10 of them practising in the UK. I spent more than a decade working as a first opinion and emergency vet, before moving to the University of Glasgow Small Animal Hospital in 2021, where I practised as a Diagnostic Imaging lecturer and Clinician.
In 2025 I started offering a mobile ultrasound service to practices in the Glasgow area. I am currently based in Drumchapel, but I am happy to travel!
I obtained my CertAVP through the University of Liverpool in 2020 and passed the synoptic examination in Diagnostic Imaging in 2022. Since 2025 I have been running my own peripatetic ultrasound service, bringing advanced ultrasound to first opinion practices.
Early on my career I noticed the importance of quality diagnostics in the management of a case, whether is making the right therapeutic choice or deciding to go into theatre, ultrasound is an indispensable tool that makes the clinician’s life a little bit easier.
I do have an interest in teaching, learning and developing novel teaching practices. During my time at Glasgow University, I helped develop novel US teaching methods that were successfully implemented at an undergraduate level. I also delivered Medivet's US early development programme for two years.
At home, I have two (very cheeky) pet chinchillas, and my hobbies include hiking, reading, and bonsai.

For practices
Full abdominal ultrasounds usually take 30 min; I will need a dark room and an assistant to help me hold the patient during the scan. Abdominal US can be performed conscious, but my preference is to lightly sedate the patient (this is particularly beneficial for feline patients). Reports are completed in the day, and images are available upon request.
If you’d like to book a scan, please get in touch at anselmous@proton.me to discuss.
Pet owners
I can only perform a scan on your pet at a veterinary surgeon’s request. Feel free to share my contact details with your vet if you’d like to book a scan with me!
Some of the practices I work with are also happy to accommodate external referrals; please get in touch at anselmous@proton.me to discuss.
